I am a freelance proofreader and copyeditor with more than ten years' experience. With a PhD in Linguistics, I am an experienced academic writer and am passionate about working with my clients to produce polished, articulate texts that are free from embarrassing typos, misplaced commas or awkward ambiguities. I work across a wide variety of subjects and publication types, providing proofreading and other editorial support for journal articles, book manuscripts, theses and project proposals.
I am also the language editor for the Nordic Journal of African Studies.
I frequently work with non-native speakers of English, where my focus is on correcting the text to a native-like standard while always maintaining the original voice of the author.
